If backing up a private key, be aware that different public chains may have different private keys.
Creating a New Account
Click ▼ > + Add Account to create a new account. For example, all accounts under Wallet A share the same seed phrase and are known as derived wallets. You can rename wallets and accounts by clicking ▼ > Wallet Management > Edit Wallet. Note that currently, you cannot remove individual accounts once created. To remove an account, you must delete the entire wallet from the device and re-import it using the seed phrase. Wallets imported via private key do not support adding new accounts.
Resetting Your Wallet
The OKX Web3 Wallet is a non-custodial, decentralized multi-chain wallet. This means users have full control over their funds and private keys, and the platform does not store passwords or private keys. As a result, password recovery is not available. However, you can reset your wallet password by re-importing your seed phrase or private key.
To do this, open the Web3 Wallet, go to Account > Wallet Management, click Import Wallet, and select either Seed Phrase or Private Key. Follow the instructions to complete the process.
Managing Assets: Deposits, Transfers, and Currency Management
Depositing Funds
There are three ways to deposit funds into your OKX Wallet:
- Copy and Paste Wallet Address: Click the copy address icon, select the wallet address corresponding to the network you wish to use, and transfer funds to that address.
- Scan QR Code: Click Receive, search for the currency you want to deposit, select the appropriate network, and obtain the receiving address (copy it or use the QR code). Open another exchange or wallet, enter the copied address, or scan the QR code to complete the deposit.
- Quick Transfer from OKX Exchange Account: You can also quickly transfer funds from your OKX exchange account to your OKX Wallet. Additionally, OKX DEX offers a Gas Swap feature, allowing you to quickly convert mainstream assets like USDT, USDC, DAI, or WETH into Gas fees. This helps solve the problem of insufficient Gas fees for transactions.
For example, if you have USDT on OKTC but no OKT, and you want to convert USDT on OKTC to OKT on OKTC, select USDT_OKTC as the pay currency and OKT_OKTC as the receive currency.
